Class Gift Campaign

Penn State seniors have a long tradition of giving to Penn State, beginning with the class of 1861. Penn State landmarks such as the Lion Shrine and the Allen Street Gates, in addition to numerous class scholarships, are the result of senior class enthusiasm and financial support.

The mission of the Class Gift Campaign is to promote a philanthropic spirit among the graduating class by providing students an opportunity to start their legacy of giving to the University. Through a collective effort to give back to their alma mater, Penn State seniors leave behind a bit of their own personality and take their first steps toward becoming proud alumni.

Announcing the 2015 Solar Panel Design Competition

When the 2015 Class Gift was announced in October 2014, the response from the Penn State and local communities was overwhelmingly positive. We have received numerous offers to assist with the design and construction of the array. To facilitate all members of the Penn State community involvement, the Class Gift Campaign and Office of the Physical Plant have established a call for participation to all interested parties. Details and full competition rules can be found online.
