Parents Fund

The Penn State Parents Fund provides resources and support for all of Student Affairs. Student Affairs provides programs and services that allow students to learn, grow, discover and succeed. The various units work to advocate for students, enrich learning and personal growth, promote health and wellness, and encourage students to become active citizens in their communities.

The following areas are supported, in part, through gifts to the Parents Fund.

Advocacy Units

Adult Learner Programs and Services (ALPS)

Adult Learner Programs and Services helps non-traditional undergraduate students, student-parents, student veterans, and older adults through advocacy, campus resources, information, and programs that complement academic, personal, and career goals for adult students. Center for Ethics and Religious Affairs (CERA)

CERA is housed within the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center/Eisenhower Chapel, which is the largest multi-faith facility on a public university campus in the country. Center for Women Students (CWS)

The Center for Women Students provides advocacy, referrals, and resources to students and facilitates educational programming on issues including sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and other campus climate issues affecting women. Visit www.studentaffairs.psu.edu/womenscenter for more information.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally (LGBTA) Student Resource Center

The LGBTA Student Resource Center provides the Penn State community with programs and education about LGBTA issues to make our campus safe and inclusive for all students. Visit www.studentaffairs.psu.edu/lgbta/ for more information.

Paul Robeson Cultural Center (PRCC)

Career Services

Career Services helps students engage in career exploration and decision making and assists them in developing strategies to obtain internships, jobs, and admission to graduate school. Services include workshops, classes, drop-in counseling, individual and group counseling, career fairs, mock interviews, job and interview postings, on-campus interviewing, and print and online resources. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides mental health care including individual and group counseling, crisis interventions, psychiatric evaluations, and therapy referrals for Penn State University Park students. Visit www.studentaffairs.psu.edu/counseling for more information.

Residence Life

Residence Life assists students in identifying safe, comfortable, and secure living environments on campus while focusing on respect, responsibility, and living in diverse environments. Visit www.studentaffairs.psu.edu/reslife for more information.

Union and Student Activities (USA)

USA provides a variety of cultural, educational, social, and recreational programs for all Penn State students, recognizing and registering hundreds of student organizations including fraternities and sororities, advising individual students and student groups, and housing eateries, the HUB-Robeson art galleries and the Penn State Bookstore. University Health Services (UHS)

Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL)

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Office provides programmatic support to one of the largest Greek communities in the country, facilitating recruitment, working with governing councils, and enhancing leadership training and philanthropic involvement among Greek students. Penn State Parents Programs (PSPP)

Student Conduct

The Office of Student Conduct administers the Student Code of Conduct in an educational and fair manner that is intended to encourage good citizenship through personal responsibility, ethical decision making, and respect for the rights of others.
