2012 Senior Class Gift

2012 Senior Class Gift

We are pleased to announce the Nittany Lion Shrine Historical Display and Beautification as the 2012 Senior Class Gift! Over the next year, we will be working with students graduating in May, August, and December 2012, and University administrators to make this gift a reality.

The display will tell the history of the Nittany Lion and the Lion Shrine from its origins as the University's mascot in 1907, to the Shrine's completion as the 1940 senior class gift and its long-standing status as the symbol of Penn State. The class of 2012's gift will also add improved lighting and ADA accessibility, making the shrine more visitor friendly all year round.

Hintz Donor Challenge

The class of 2012 has met the challenge set forth by Ed and Helen Hintz by reaching more than 3,000 pledges toward the 2012 Senior Class Gift campaign! In honor of reaching this goal, Mr. and Mrs. Hintz will endow a $50,000 scholarship in the class of 2012's name, enabling future students to receive a Penn State education and playing a significant role in the University's current For the Future fundraising campaign. This is a tremendous achievement and our class can be proud of our collective effort to support Penn State! You can read more about this accomplishment here.

Please make your gift online today to support the part of Penn State that means the most to you. Whether you give to your Senior Class Gift, an academic college, or a student organization you are part of, your participation makes a difference at Penn State and will have an additional impact through the Hintz Donor Challenge. If you have already pledged, thank you for your support!
