The goal of the Foundation Relations Program is to increase the amount of private foundation grants made to Penn State research, academic programs, and outreach projects. Foundation Relations works closely with the deans, associate deans for research, Office of Sponsored Programs, faculty, and development officers to provide various foundation-related services to the University. These activities range from identifying foundation funding opportunities, assisting with project and proposal development, conducting foundation site-visits, providing grantsmanship training, facilitating the submission of grant proposals, and stewardship of grants received.
We seek to provide a service that is both strategic and coordinated. We assist in turning great ideas into fundable projects in partnership with foundations whose funding initiatives align with the University's strengths in research and programming.
