If you do not have the cash or assets to make an outright gift to the University, you can sign a pledge. This agreement allows you to make a philanthropic commitment to the University and pay the gift over a certain period of time. For example, establishing a Trustee Matching Scholarship requires a $50,000 gift. Donors may sign a pledge to complete this gift with payments of $10,000 per year for five years. Signing a pledge may enable you to make a larger gift to the University by splitting your gift into smaller payments.

Penn State’s Office of Gift Planning will confidentially answer your questions about giving and work closely with your legal, tax, and other advisers to come up with an integrated plan that meets each of your personal goals. Please contact us anytime or click here to learn more.
