Penn State has a long history of partnerships with corporations, foundations, and other philanthropic organizations. The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is a central resource serving as an access point for philanthropic engagement and additional Penn State resources and services.  We further organizational relationships by identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and providing effective philanthropic stewardship.

Engineering Professor Named One of Five Inaugural Moore Inventor Fellows

Penn State Electrical Engineering faculty member, Xingjie Ni, has been named a Moore Inventor Fellow by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. This is the first year for the Moore Inventor Fellowships program, which recognizes early-career innovators at U.S. universities with a high potential to accelerate progress in scientific research, environmental conservation and patient care.

Baker Huges Makes $1.9 Million Software Gift to Earth and Mineral Sciences

Oilfield service company, Baker Hughes, has donated $1.9M worth of technical software and computers to the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Baker Hughes' JewelSuite reservoir modeling software, MFrac hydraulic design and simulation software and Completion ArchiTex 3D completion design software will enhance teaching, learning and research in both the Department of Geosciences and the John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering. 

Penn State, Botstiber Foundation partner to enhance educational access in Africa

Penn State and the Botstiber Foundation formalized plans to launch the Botstiber Scholars Program — beginning in the fall of 2016 — in a signing ceremony held Feb. 18 at University Park.
